Sb410 New Fluorescent and Light Black Colors

Mimaki Engineering Co., Ltd. (Mimaki), a global industry leader and manufacturer of wide-format inkjet printers and cutting plotters, today announced its launch of fluorescent pink/yellow and light black inks—new spot colors of “Sb410” Mimaki genuine sublimation ink products—in February 2016. The fluorescent inks produce bold and bright colors beyond the range of reproducible colors by process color printing, which are widely used in the sports apparel market. The light black ink creates a smooth gradation and reproduces the delicate tones of monochromatic photographs.
Sublimation inkjet print systems are increasingly being employed in apparel production lines. Similarly, eye-catching neon colors and delicate color printing are increasingly demanded in the sports and fashion apparel market. The new ink colors developed by Mimaki’s reliable technologies add value to these finished products. The fluorescent pink and yellow inks deliver bright neon colors, and users can create unique design products. The light black ink prevents color shifting on monochromic gradations and photograph prints and enhances the beauty and delicacy of images.

Sb410: Fluorescent pink and yellow inks
Fluorescent inks are increasingly demanded for sports outfits, POP fashion clothes, and eye-catching soft signage. These inks, which utilize a multi-color mode of RIP software*1, are solely used as spot color and supplements for process color. The fluorescent ink provides an outside-color range of magenta and yellow inks and heightens the brightness of colors.
*1: This function is only available on TxLink3.
Sb410: Light black ink
The light black ink reduces the granular appearance, color shifting, and tone jumps that occur on monochrome/greyscale prints. Accordingly, the light black ink enhances the beauty of print results.
