  • The UV ink is harmful to the human body and the environment.

・ If you need to seek medical attention, please take the MSDS sheet for MIMAKI UV ink with you. These are also available online.
・ Do not touch the uncured ink. Ventilate the printer area if you are sensitive to the ink fumes.

1. Harmful effects to the human body]
「Skin, Eye」:

Uncured UV ink has unreacted monomer which is harmfulness to the human body. Please cover your skin and wear glasses or goggles before performing maintenance on the printer. Even finished, cured prints, may have residual unreacted monomer. Please refer to the following manual.

「Smell」:
The fumes of the ink are not harmful. If you do have an adverse reaction, get some fresh air and ventilate the print area. If the finished print result still emanates an unpleasant odor, please refer to the following document to reduce the smell.

「Carcinogenic Property」:
The Black ink contains “Carbon Black” which has the possibility to be a cause of cancer.
The amount of Carbon Black:5% or less (IARC)

2. [Harmful effects to natural environment]
「Water Creatures」:

Please NEVER dispose it into river or sewage. It kills many water creatures.
Dispose the wasted ink through an industrial waste disposal contractor.
