Registering a PICT User Account

This section describes how to register users to use PICT.

Accounts

Accounts created with PICT are assigned one of three possible authorities: Owner, Administrator, or Operator.
The operations available on PICT will vary depending on the type of authority assigned.
The items marked ○ in the following table are available for the corresponding authority types.

Creating new account and organization

A new account and organization must be created before using PICT for the first time.

  • The organization is a function for sharing printer information between multiple accounts.
  1. Access the PICT Sign-in window, then click [Create New Organization].

  1. Confirm the details of the Terms and Conditions of Use, select the [I agree with the usage rules] and [I agree to the use of cookies] check boxes, then click [Proceed to the next step].

  1. Enter the following information, then click [Proceed to the next step].

Account Name

The name of the account

E-mail Address

The email address used to sign in to PICT

Password

The password used to sign in to PICT

Password (Verify Password)

Password confirmation

Organization Name

The name of the organization

Country

The country in which the organization is located

  • A temporary account will be created, and a verification email will be sent to the email address entered.
  1. Click the verification URL contained in the verification email.

  • If no verification email appears, check the junk email folder.
  • The account is activated, enabling the user to sign in to PICT.
  • The first account created for an organization is assigned [Owner] authority.
    Change the authority as necessary.

Joining an existing organization

If an organization already exists for the group to which you belong, you will need to receive an invitation from that organization.
