I cannot register this printer
If the following error message appears on PICT Up and the printer cannot be registered, take the corrective action described below.
Error message
- "The following printers are not supported or have network connection problems. [Printer name, Printer IP address]"
Corrective action
- Confirm that the printer is compatible with PICT.Compatible Models
Also check that the firmware version being used is a supported version or later. - If connection is not possible with a model and firmware version that are supported, check the following:
- Is there a problem with the LAN connection between the printer and RIP PC?
- Does the IP address indicated in the error message match the IP address of the printer?
- Is any other software connected to the printer? (Apart from the RIP software)
- If none of these problems is observed, restart the printer, and try again.
- If registration is not possible even after restarting the printer, PICT Up installation may have failed. Reinstall PICT Up.
