Pattern objects are printed offset

When printing pattern objects created using Illustrator, the pattern objects may sometimes be printed offset compared to the Illustrator screen display.
The extent of the offset varies depending on the printing resolution.
It will also vary depending on the distance correction value for a flatbed printer, if specified.
