Connecting to a Printer or Plotter
Information for the printers or plotters currently connected is obtained automatically and displayed on the screen.
Allows easy selection of the printer or plotter used for output.
- Click the printer or plotter icon at the upper right of the screen.
- The device selection dialog box appears.
- To select a printer, select [Printer Type] and [Printer], or to select a plotter, select [Plotter Type] and [Plotter].
- The device is connected to a printer or plotter.
For a printer
If the printer type is CJV200/JV200 and Simple Create is used in Windows
[Hot Folder] or [Network] can be selected for [Printer Search] only under the conditions mentioned above.
Changes can be made from the [Settings] menu. Environment Settings
[Hot Folder] | Uses the hot folder to import job data into RasterLink7. The default path of the hot folder is "C:\MijCtrl\Hot". The [Output] list on the [Output Setting] screen displays the favorite hot folders for all printers set for RasterLink7. Output Setting tab |
[Network] | Searches the network for a printer set for RasterLink7 specified in [Printer Type] and sets it as the [Printer]. The [Output] list on the [Output Setting] screen displays the favorite hot folders for all printers set for RasterLink7. Output Setting tab RasterLink7 v3.3.3 or later must be set up. For a plotter
If the device selected for [Plotter Type] is present in [Plotter], [Plotter] is automatically selected and connected.
For serial connections to plotters, set the plotter baud rate to 38400.
For a printer or plotter

- The [Print & Cut] tab is displayed on the Output setting screen for both printing and cutting. Output setting screen

- In this case, the sheet size for cutting is set to the paper size. If necessary, change the sheet size for cutting, or change the printer type to CJV200 or a different model.
