Data operations
The data management function allows the following operations:
- Create new dataCreating new data
- Edit saved dataEditing saved data
- Rename saved dataRenaming saved data
- Delete saved dataDeleting data
- Duplicate saved dataDuplicating saved data
- Export saved dataExporting saved data
Creating new data
- On the Home screen, select the tab for the type of data to create (design, form with designs, or form), then tap the Create New icon ("+").
- The corresponding Create screen appears.
- Create the data on the corresponding screen.

For more information on creating data, refer to the following:
- Tap [Save&Previous] ("<").
- The data is automatically saved. The display returns to the Home screen with thumbnails for the data created.
- Before you save the data for the first time, a dialog box will prompt you to rename the data. Enter the desired name.
Editing saved data
- On the Home screen, select the tab (design, form with designs, or form) with data to edit, then tap the thumbnail.
- The corresponding Edit screen appears for the data to be edited.
- Edit the data.
- Tap [Save&Previous] ("<").
- The data is automatically saved.
- The display returns to the Home screen with thumbnails for the data created.
Renaming saved data
- On the Home screen, select the tab (design, form with designs, or form) with data to rename, then tap the "
" at the top right of the thumbnail.
- Displays the submenu.
- Tap [Rename].
- The [Rename] dialog box appears.
- Rename the data, then tap [Save].
Deleting data
- On the Home screen, select the tab (design, form with designs, or form) with data to delete, then tap the "
" at the top right of the thumbnail.
- Displays the submenu.
- Tap [Delete].
- A confirmation dialog box appears.
- Tap [OK].
- The saved data is deleted.
Duplicating saved data
- On the Home screen, select the tab (design, form with designs, or form) with data to duplicate, then tap the "
" at the top right of the thumbnail.
- Displays the submenu.
- Tap [Duplicate].
- The data is duplicated with the name "original name + '- copy'".
Exporting saved data
- On the Home screen, select the tab (design, form with designs, or form) with data to export, then tap the "
" at the top right of the thumbnail.
- A menu appears.
- Tap [Export].
- The data is saved in the [Simple Create] folder of [On My iPhone] or [On My iPad].

- For Android, specify where to save the data.
- The default file name is "data name + extension".
- The file extension will vary as follows, depending on the data format:
·Design: ".scd"
·Form with designs: ".scj"
·Form: ".scb"
- Exported files can be imported using Simple Create installed on other devices.
Importing files
- Tap the [Settings] hamburger menu.
- A menu appears.
- Tap [Import file].
- A dialog box appears for opening the file.
- Select the data file to import.
- The Edit screen corresponding to the data imported is automatically displayed.

- The imported data is displayed on the Home screen together with the corresponding thumbnail.
- If data exists with the same name, numbers ("_1", "_2", and so on) will be appended to the end of the data name.
