8. Canvas area
Overview
- The origin is the bottom left corner of the paper area.
- Objects created using the shape and text tools are first placed at the top left of the paper area.
Objects placed there can then be edited: for example, by using the move, zoom in, zoom out, and rotate operations. - In the case of text objects, the text size and shape changes to match changes in the text box size.
- The objects created are displayed in the order in which they were created, overlaid from above.
- The object overlaying sequence can be altered using [Objects] - [Arrange] in the menu or using the object list.
Editing assistance functions
The canvas area includes the following functions to assist in editing:
- Scroll bars
- X- and Y-axis scroll bars are provided to allow the user to scroll through and display the entire sheet of paper.
The scroll bars are always shown. The scroll width can be adjusted according to the zoom function. - Ruler
- This can be toggled between displayed and hidden from the hamburger menu.
Design frame display shape
For designs arranged as a form, the paper area is displayed using the form shape (rectangle or circle) set in form creation.
