We would like to inform you that Mimaki Engineering will change certain materials used in the aluminum packs for our inks in order to comply with regulations concerning per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS). As a result, the appearance of the packs will partially change as described below.

Details of the Change
Due to a review of the materials used for ink aluminum packs, specifically the polyethylene film, certain aspects of the pack appearance, including color and design elements, will be changed. Please note that there will be no change to the quality or performance of the ink contents.
Please refer to the attachment for details of appearance changes.
Attachment
Reason for the Change
The materials used for the packs, specifically the polyethylene film, have been reviewed in response to regulatory requirements concerning PFAS*.
*PFAS: Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances
Applicable Products
Solvent inks: SS21 / BS3 / BS4
UV inks: LH-100 / PR-100 / PR-200 / SU-100
Water-based inks: Sb53 / Sb54 / PHT50 / LX101
Cleaning solution: SPC-0606
Approximate Timing of the Changeover
- Current specification: Until around November 2026
- Water-based ink packs (applicable products: Sb53 / Sb54 / PHT50): To be introduced sequentially for products manufactured from August 2026 through March 2027 (Figure 1)
- Solvent/UV ink packs (applicable products: products other than those listed above): To be introduced sequentially for products manufactured from November 2026 through March 2027 (Figure 2)
In addition, both the water-based ink packs and the solvent/UV ink packs are scheduled to undergo a further appearance change starting with products manufactured in March 2027 (Figure 3).
*Depending on inventory status, both current and new specifications may be supplied during the transition period.
Notes
As a result of this change, the appearance of the aluminum packs may differ from that of current products. However, all such products are genuine Mimaki products, with no difference in quality or performance.
