Mimaki Engineering Co., Ltd. (Head office: Tomi-shi, Nagano, Pref.; President: Kazuaki Ikeda), specializing in industrial inkjet printers, cutting plotters and 3D printers, is to announce the release of the new “Kebab HS” , that is Max. 3 times faster print speed of current “Kebab MkII”, 360 deg cylindrical material printing optional system.
Our “Kebab” is an optional (additive function) system for the “UJF” series of flatbed UV printers. In addition to printing on flat surfaces with the printer alone, this system enables 360 deg printing on the sides of cylindrical materials such as bottles and tumblers. With the current “Kebab MkII”, it tales about 30 miutes to print one piece of material *1, and in many cases it was necessary to own multiple printers for medium-lot production of custom-made goods.
The new high-speed Kebab HS will achieve up to three times the productivity of current models. Printing is completed in approx. 10 minutes per material, making it possible to handle medium-lot orders with a single printer.
*1. When printing in standard mode on a material 100mm in diameter and 200mm in length
“Kebab HS” is also compatible with tapered materials such as glasses and cups (with sloping sides ; Fig 1.), which were not possible with “Kebab MKII” *2, thus expanding the range of order-made goods that cab be directly printed with a UV printer.

When using Kebab HS, simply fix the Kebab HS main unit to your UJF series print table, and installation is completed in about 10 minutes. Our certified service engineers will explain the user operation at the first time using the system, making it easy for anyone to install.
“Kebab HS” is scheduled to go on sale in May 2024.
The current “Kebab MkII” and “Kebab MkII L” will continue to be available as a product. Please use the current models for printing small-diameter (50mm or less) and material longer than 280mm, which are not supported by “Kebab HS”
