Mimaki Engineering Co., Ltd. (Head office: Tomi-shi, Nagano, Pref.; President: Kazuaki Ikeda), specializing in industrial inkjet printers, cutting plotters and 3D printers, is to announce the release of ”JFX600-2531” a large format flatbed UV inkjet printer and is exhibiting at FESPA Global Printing Expo 2024 (Amsterdam, the Netherland), and exhibition to be held from March 19th 2024.

Since the release of the “JFX600-2513”(max. print size of 2,500mmx1,300mm) in April 2021, we have received a good reputation from our customers for its print speed of approx. 330% of that our conventional models, high image quality with a maximum resolution of 1,200 dpi, 6-colours ink with the standard 4 colours (cyan, magenta, yellow and black) plus intermediate colours (light cyan and light magenta), also equipped with a 2.5D printing function that adds an uneven surface to provide a design expression.
On the other hand, we have received requests from the market for a lineup with a print table up to 3.1meters in length, which was covered by our conventional model, and we are now pleases to announce the release of “JFX600-2531” in response to this demand .

The standard size of general sign graphic materials is 2,440mm x 1,220mm, which can be handled by the existing JFX600-2513 print table. However, one of the standard sizes is 3,000mm in architectural substrates such as glass, partitions, and plywood, and these materials are mainly printed by roll-type printers, and the design is processed by applying the printed film.
However, JFX600-2531 can be used to directly print on these substrates, eliminating the time and expertise required for film application. Also, the direct printing process retains the original surface texture of the substrates, except for the design area, compared to the film application process. In the case of high-valued substrates, this process can directly convey a high-quality texture to the client and can also add further value to the products.

In addition, the “Toggle Print Function” (Figure.1), which is exclusive to the JFX600-2531, allows the printer operator to set the print origins at two locations (Front/Rear) on the print table. In continuous printing of substrates A and B placed in front and rear of the print table, manual preparation such as substrates replacement, fixing and cleaning the surface can be performed while other side is being printed, thereby improving production efficiency while eliminating operators waiting time.

The “JFX600-2531” is scheduled to go on sale in end of June 2024, and sales are expected to reach approx. 50 units (worldwide) in the first year for sign graphics applications in addition to architectural substrate printing.
