Mimaki Engineering Co., Ltd. (Head office: Tomi-shi, Nagano, Pref.; President: Kazuaki Ikeda), specializing in industrial inkjet printers, cutting plotters and 3D printers, is to announce the release of the middle-size flatbed UV inkjet printer "JFX200-1213 EX," the company will exhibit the printer for the first time in world wide at the "Printing United 2024 (Las Vegas, USA)" to be held from September 10, 2024.
Since our launch of the world's first UV-curable inkjet printer with white ink in 2003, we have led the digitalization of the sign graphics and industrial products (mainly for industrial use and custom-made goods) printing market with our unique UV printing technology.
On the other hand, there is a large difference in print size between our "UJF series" desktop UV printers and the large format "JFX series," our UJF customers needed to add more printers and number of operators to increase their production volume. In order to provide the market with a "Just In Size" high-productivity flatbed UV printer option, we have developed the "JFX200-1213 EX" which is approximately half the print size of the JFX200-2513 EX, and entry-level large format flatbed UV printer that has been well received around the world.
By offering the high image quality, high value-added, and high production prints of the JFX200-2513 EX in a compact size, we will continue to propose optimal solutions to our existing customers as well as entry-level users of digital printing, and drive the DX-ization of industrial printing in the future.
JFX200-1213 EX Key Features

The "JFX200-1213 EX" is scheduled to go on sale in October 2024, and is expected to sell approximately 70 units (worldwide) in the first year for use in sign graphics, industrial applications, and custom goods production.

Main Features
1. "Just In Size" Flatbed UV Printer with just the right size
This mid-size model is approximately 30% smaller than the current JFX200-2513 EX large format flatbed UV printer. Operation is easy, as it can be reached without having to go around to the other side of the machine when replacing print substrates. Despite being a compact model, it is compatible with the international A0 size standard (Fig 1), making it possible to produce poster-sized general-purpose sign graphic panels.

Our JFX200-2513 EX is one of the most productive in the entry-level large flatbed printer market. The compact size of the JFX200-1213 EX achieves a maximum print speed of 25 m²/h. Even in the highest quality mode, 2.5 m²/h, which is equivalent to the standard mode of our UJF series of desktop UV printers (Fig 2), the printer can be used in the highest quality mode while maintaining its productivity, and productivity can be increased up to approximately 4 times compared to equivalent quality modes. This is an ideal unit for upgrading your desktop UV printer, allowing you to increase production volume without adding more printers and operators.

3. Our Unique UV printing technology makes texture printing even faster. Braille and pictorial signs can be produced at approximately twice* the speed of conventional printing.
The UV printing method, which allows ink to be freely layered, enables graphic textures to be expressed through three-dimensional printing, but there have not been many practical examples because of the time required for ink layering. The JFX200-1213 EX uses our proprietary UV printing technology to dramatically shorten the production time, making it easy to produce the information boards with Braille and pictograph signs.
The system is also equipped with "standard mode" and "high-speed mode" according to the Braille application, and can be used with standard design software and the standard RIP software alone. Texture designs can take shape from the day they are introduced.

4. Mimaki's unique imaging technology delivers high image quality prints. In addition, 6-color (LcLm in addition to CMYK) ink sets are supported for enhanced expressiveness.
Equipped with technologies for high image quality printing that we have cultivated over the years, this printer delivers smooth gradation expression and high density prints. In addition to standard CMYK, LcLm (light cyan and light magenta) can be selected for color, enabling the smooth expression of subtle tones such as human skin and landscapes, demonstrating its ability to produce goods containing photographs and sign graphics with beautiful tones.
