Mimaki Engineering Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Tōmi City, Nagano Prefecture; President and CEO: Kazuaki Ikeda) announces the launch of the hybrid UV inkjet printer "UJ330H-160" as a new 330 series large-format graphic inkjet printers.

Our flagship line, the "330 Series," has contributed to the expansion of our customers' businesses with its high image quality and high productivity, and has been highly praised by production sites around the world.

We have developed the UJ330H-160 in order to offer its outstanding image quality and high productivity to even more customers. This product supports direct printing of rigid (board) materials in addition to output to roll materials. The hybrid UV printer, which realizes roll and rigid output in a single unit while suppressing space restrictions and expensive capital investment, is positioned as "Next Standard" for graphic production sites such as sign makers and commercial printers.

This product is designed to switch between roll and rigid output quickly and easily, increasing production efficiency. It can flexibly handle various materials and applications even with limited personnel and space without using different equipment for each application.

In order to achieve stable output to various roll materials, this product uses a newly developed belt transport system (Figure 1). Thin films and fabrics, which were difficult to handle with the conventional transport method using grit rollers, can be transported stably while suppressing the occurrence of loosening and wrinkles (Figure 2). As a result, by enabling applications such as window graphics and fabric signage, comprehensive proposals for exhibition booths and retail spaces become possible.

In addition, this transport system also provides high stability when outputting rigid materials. The Auto-Vacuum and front and rear lock roller units (Figure 3) allow stable transport of large and thick materials, such as up to 4x8 size*1 aluminum composite plates and 2-inch thick foam board (Figure 4). Rigid production, which has traditionally relied on mounting processes and outsourcing, can be shifted to an efficient, fully in-house production system.

In terms of image quality, the printer is equipped with a print engine that combines a high-density, high-definition print head and proprietary image quality control technology to deliver industry-leading image quality. From uniform solids to smooth, subtle gradients, it faithfully reproduces with high productivity with a practical throughput of 14.0 m²/h*2, enabling graphic production that capture the attention of people passing by.

In addition, the automatic adjustment function has been evolved so that this high image quality can be reproduced stably without special skills. Optimal condition can always be maintained with simple operation ensuring high production efficiency and consistent quality regardless of operator experience.
Furthermore, the UV ink used in this product is designed to be free of SVHC*3 and CMR*4, ensuring industry-leading safety. Contributes to a workplace that is safe for both operators and the environment, while also anticipating compliance with global environmental regulations.

Moreover, by integrating the RIP software "RasterLink7," which enables consistent control of high-value printing such as UV-specific multilayer and high-build effects (Figures 5 and 6) and gloss/matte finishes using clear ink (Figure 7), with the cloud-based monitoring tool "PICT," which visualizes output status, it provides comprehensive support from printing through management. The product streamlines production site operations, making them simpler and more efficient, while supporting the development of customers' production environments.

Sales of the UJ330H-160 hybrid UV inkjet printer are scheduled to begin in April 2026 and is expected to sell 400 units a year worldwide.
This product will be exhibited at major exhibitions in each country, including those listed in the table below.
