Nagano, Japan, September 8th, 2026
Mimaki Engineering Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Tomi City, Nagano Prefecture; President and CEO: Kazuaki Ikeda) is announcing the release of the "JFX220-2515," a large-format flatbed UV printer.
This product is a mid-range large-format flatbed printer. The newly developed "ANCHOR TECHNOLOGY" substrate suction and holding mechanism allows for smooth substrate loading, significantly reducing the time required for print preparation. It maximizes the printer’s true production capacity and provides a production environment capable of handling more jobs within a limited timeframe.
The "JFX220-2515" will make its world debut at the "PRINTING United Expo 2026," an international trade show to be held in Las Vegas, USA, starting Wednesday, September 23.
JFX220-2515 | Product Information
In 2013, our company launched the "JFX200-2513," a large-format flatbed UV printer. Capable of direct printing onto 4×8-size (1.2 m × 2.4 m) substrates—commonly used for signs and exhibition panels—this product was adopted by many sign manufacturers. Since then, the JFX200 series has continued to support the printing businesses of signmakers worldwide by enhancing productivity, expressive capabilities, and ease of use through improvements in both hardware and software.
We are now pleased to announce the "JFX220-2515," a fully redesigned model in the JFX200 series that further advances productivity and expressive capabilities.
The newly developed "ANCHOR TECHNOLOGY" significantly improves the efficiency of preparation work for printing
With conventional flatbed printers, air leaks from the suction holes on the printing table reduced the holding force, making it necessary to "mask" the suction holes in areas where no substrate was placed by covering them with tape or similar material. Depending on the size of the substrate, it was necessary to mask a large area of the table, which made pre-printing preparations time-consuming (Fig. 1).
"ANCHOR TECHNOLOGY," newly developed suction table mechanism on the JFX220-2515, efficiently suctions and secures the area where the substrate is placed. By eliminating the masking work that was previously required, it significantly reduces the time needed for print preparation. It also securely holds warped substrates, such as corrugated cardboard and acrylic sheets, ensuring stable printing (Fig. 2).

In addition to reducing print preparation time, this product offers enhanced print expressiveness. It now features support for UV fluorescent inks (yellow and pink), enabling vivid, eye-catching colors that are difficult to reproduce with standard CMYK inks alone.
Whether it’s eye-catching colors that boost visibility on signs and in-store POP displays at event venues and commercial facilities, or designs that highlight brand colors on promotional fixtures and displays, this product creates memorable graphics across a wide range of applications. (Fig. 3)

Furthermore, this product builds on the high image quality that has been highly praised in previous models while further improving productivity. For print businesses that do not use white or clear ink—such as sign and POP production—a standard CMYK-only ink set is available. With this ink set, the printer achieves high-speed printing at 56 m²/h (approximately 17 4×8-size boards per hour*1)—roughly twice*2 the production speed of ink sets that include white and clear ink.
Even at high print speeds, it reproduces deep colors such as blue and red uniformly and vividly, balancing high productivity with superior print quality. It can quickly handle short turnaround times and large orders, such as for signs and campaign POP displays that require frequent replacement.

*2 Comparison of the CMYK set High-Speed mode and the CMYK + White/Clear set High-Speed mode for the "JFX220-2515"
Moreover, the JFX220-2515 is equipped with features that enable printing on a wide variety of substrates and shapes, as well as high-value-added graphic expressions, thereby expanding the range of applications. (Fig. 4)
- Direct printing on thick building materials and off-the-shelf products
It can print directly onto substrates up to 101.6 mm (4 inches) thick. It flexibly accommodates substrates of various thicknesses, enabling the creation of diverse applications that go beyond simply printing on boards and panels. - "LD Mode" for printing on materials with uneven surfaces
It features LD (Long-Distance) mode, which allows printing on curved or uneven surfaces. It can print to a depth of up to 20 mm*, supporting printing on three-dimensional objects. *Distance from the print head to the printing surface - Textures with a Three-Dimensional Expression
With ink build-up of up to 5 mm, it is possible to create textures with greater relief than ever before. This can be utilized to produce high-value-added signs and art that appeal not only to the eye but also to the sense of touch.

The "JFX220-2515" is scheduled to go on sale in October and will be unveiled sequentially at major trade shows around the world, starting with the "PRINTING United Expo 2026" to be held in Las Vegas, USA, beginning September 23.
