To use FineCut 9 for Illustrator Ver. 1.6 on Illustrator 2021 (Ver. 25.3), the following settings are required.

1. Change the appearance mode of the main unit to the light mode
2. Start Illustrator 2021 (Ver. 25.3) with Rosetta mode (Only for users using the mac which is mounted Apple Silicon M1 chip)

Each setting procedure is described below.

Change the appearance mode of the main unit to the light mode.

Be sure to restart Illustrator after changing the appearance mode.

1. Select [System Preferences…] from the Apple Menu

2. Select [General]

---

---

3. Select [Light] from appearance mode.

Be sure to restart when Illustrator is active.

That's all procedure for changing the appearance mode of the mac main unit to the light mode.

Start Illustrator 2021 (Ver. 25.3) with Rosetta mode

Be sure to restart Illustrator after switching to Rosetta.

1. Select [Applications] from [Go]

2. Select [Adobe Illustrator 2021] from the folder
3. Press "Control" key and select [Adobe Illustrator 2021]
4. Select [Get Info]

5. Check [Open using Rosetta]

Be sure to restart when Illustrator is active.

This allows Illustrator 2021 (Ver. 25.3) to be started with Rosetta mode.
