About this Upgrade software
This Upgrade software requests older version of Mimaki FineCut CD-ROM while installation.
The following functions have been change

- Improved functions -
- Frame Extraction is available for the data with images.
To make stickers or the like, using Frame Extraction, create a path for cutting inside or outside the data with image as below, and then execute Print&Cut from RasterLink output.
- Fixed bugs -
- When Unicode characters are included in layer names on Illustrator CS/CS2/CS3/CS4, an error occurs at the start of Output to RasterLink dialog.
- When Print&Cut is executed via RasterLink output for the path created clipping mask, the masked part is included as a margin.

- Fixed bugs -
- When you make an Illustrator file with the document name of 25 byte or more, and output it on "Output to RasterLink", the following message appears and you cannot print or cut:"An unexpected error occurred".
(It occurs only at FineCut7 Ver.7.4/7.5 for Macintosh on Illustrator 8/9/10/CS.)

New functions of FineCut7
- Number of cut setting function
This function makes multiple cuts on the same cut line, changing the speed and pressure of the cuts. This is used for cutting hard media and double weight sheets. (Mimaki CF/CF2 series only) - Import/export cut conditions<
Save the plot conditions set during plotting as a file. By loading the saved file, you can output using the previous conditions. You can also use cut conditions as a backup. - Arc theta correct function
This function sets the amount of arc theta correction for the Mimaki CF/CF2 series in FineCut. - Output order for color/layer
You can change the cut order by color and by layer. Setting the tools by color or by layer allows you to operate several tools efficiently. - Plot file importing function
This function loads plot files created with cutting software. You can open and edit plot files in Illustrator and plot them from FineCut. - Spline approximation output function
This function achieves a smooth cut line by moving the head at a regular speed even at joints using spline approximation output for the Bezier curve of the object.(Mimaki CF/CF2 series)
Update procedure
- Click [start] menu - [All Programs] - [Mimaki FineCut7 for Illustrator]-[Uninstall Mimaki FineCut7 for Illustrator].
- Double-click and decompress the downloaded file.
- Double-click the installer file created after decompression.
- Follow the instruction on screen.
- When confirmation screen for the old version product CD appears, insert the indicated version CD of the product.
- After confirming the product CD, follow the instructions on screen.

- This software must not be copied against the provisions of this agreement.
- This software must not be changed or reverse engineered. Moreover, it must not be transferred, leased or sublicensed to the third party. The status of this agreement must not be transferred, either.
- This software must not be transferred, licensed or resold to the third party or transferred, licensed or purchased from it by rental or false rental activity.
- This software must not be transferred or licensed to the third party or purchased from it as secondhand goods.
Article 3 Limitation of Warranty
- It is not warranted that functions contained in this software suit the intended use of the customer.
- This software should be selected and introduced in the customer’s responsibility: any damage in installing this software in the computer’s hard disk and the plotter’s memory is not covered.
- We accept no responsibility for any results of the use of this software (including lost earnings or profits).
Article 4 Term of Validity
- The term of validity of this agreement starts when the customer installs this software.
- When the customer decides to stop using this software, this agreement is automatically terminated.
- This agreement is terminated immediately, without our notice, if the customer does not follow any clause of this agreement. If this agreement terminates, the whole of this software must be deleted.
